Larry Roland, poet, bassist, composer, educator, and music producer uses Spoken Word and improvisational music to educate the listener.  

His work reflects the joy, sorrow, and day-to-day circumstances of the times in which we live.  Through his collaboration with other artists in the creative genres of theater, dance, and film, his music and poetry has graced national and international concert halls, radio, television, the internet, festivals, parks, outdoor theaters, clubs, and private living rooms.  Larry’s poetry pays homage to the strength and beauty of his ancestors from whom he has gained knowledge, wisdom, pride, and understanding.  His solo CD, As Time Flows On, was released by the Boston Composer Group label in 2001, and his first full length book of poetry, “Just Sayin’!!” Selected Poems by Larry Roland was published by BCG Publishers in 2019.  Larry is a former founding member of the Jazz & Poetry Choir Collective and is featured on the group’s debut CD, We Were Here released in April 2020.
