Linda Susan Jackson is the author of Truth Be Told (Four Way Press) and What Yellow Sounds Like (Tia Chucha Press), which was a finalist for the National Poetry Series and the Paterson Prize. She has also written two chap books, A History of Beauty and Vitelline Blues, both published by Black-eyed Susan Publishing. She has received fellowships from the Cave Canem Foundation, the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), Calabash International Literary Festival, Soul Mountain Writers Retreat and Frost Place. Her work has appeared in Ploughshares, Harvard Review Online, Brilliant Corners, Obsidian, among others, and has been featured on The Academy of American Poets and Poetry Poem-a-Day Series, the Poets on Poetry series and on From the Fishouse audio archive. She is a retired associate professor of English at Medgar Evers College/ CUNY.
